Hand-gilded Luther Fountain Pen - Limited Edition
Your fountain pen from the special "Martin Luther" edition is an original handmade writing instrument manufactured in Germany by “Wildstift” noble scribe and the jewelry manufacturer “Le Marchant”.
The product is 100% handmade and manufactured with highest crafted German precision.
The main wood from your fountain pen came exclusively from the historic Wartburg church where Luther translated the Bible and the other parts are from churches where he preached and lectured. The oak used is at least a 500 years old.
Therefore you are holding a significant piece of German Reformation History in your hands.
The metal parts of this pen are made of titanium-refined stainless steel, which is mainly used in medical technology and is particularly skin-friendly. These are made with the utmost care in a special metal shop in the north of Germany, and each writing instrument has a three-twist locking barrel, which harmonizes with the wood grain of the cap and the handle.
The high-quality nib is from one of the last German feather tip manufacturers, Peter Bock AG, and is gilded with the finest chrome and gold plating.
The nib ensures an optimal ink flow, the filling feather tip has an iridium-reinforced writing surface, from the hardest metal in the world. This allows you to write smoothly, gliding and without scratching.
There are three fine - grained, elaborate engravings on the pen that are precision lasered from the jewelry manufacturer “Le Marchant”. The first is the famous “Lutheran Rose”, with the inscription "The heart of a Christian walks on roses, even when it stands directly under the cross,” the second is the portrait of Martin Luther and the third inscription is acknowledging the 500-year anniversary of the Reformation.
Martin Luther's thesis on the 31st of October in 1517 marked the beginning of the Reformation and still has many effects all over the world. In translating the Bible Martin Luther used a special ink to write the handwritten scripture. The ink recipe that comes with this pen is the same as Luther used originally.
The manufacturer “DE ATRAMENTIS” in the Westerwald has succeeded, after long research in historical archives, to produce this particular ink, which equals Martin Luther’s recipe. The ink is black and document-proof with a very special luminosity that does not yellow even after years.
We guarantee the authenticity of the fountain pen and its by-products with our names.
The barrel of the pen has lifetime warranty.
*Extra ink and a replacement nib of the same quality can be purchased at an additional cost.
